Intermediate / Senior Java Engineer
(Permanent, Full-Time)

Description:

The successful candidate should have 5+ years of development experience in an object-oriented environment and very good written and verbal communication skills. This is not a J2EE position.

Must Have:
- excellent programming skills
- excellent understanding of the object-oriented programming concepts
- good Design Patterns and UML knowledge
- 2+ years of Java development using Java core, collections, threads
- familiar with at least one software engineering process model (RUP, XP)
- flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to switch from one project to another
- ability to work independently and/or in a team environment

Nice to Have:
- leadership
- distributed architecture exposure (CORBA, RMI)
- C++ development experience
- JNI programming experience
- POSIX threads knowledge
- experience with databases and web related technologies
- previous experience with multiple projects
- familiar with software refactoring concepts
- User Interface programming experience

Education:
Must have a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
